About

Certified School Psychologist & PhD Candidate with over a decade of experience supporting diverse K–12 students in urban school systems. I specialize in psychoeducational evaluations, evidence-based interventions, and data-driven decision-making through MTSS and IEP processes. My work is grounded in equity, cultural responsiveness, and whole-child development.

My research explores the intersection of psychology and digital gaming. I have presented nationally on how children’s reasons for playing digital games may be as important as the content itself in shaping their psychological functioning, and my current dissertation examines how motives for eSports spectatorship affect early adolescents’ watch frequency and how that, in turn, impacts their self-esteem. My committee includes international experts in gaming and behavior, Dr. Fran C. Blumberg of Fordham University and Dr. Steven Malliet of KU Leuven, Belgium.

Ultimately, I aim to help educators, psychologists, and parents leverage digital games to foster student engagement, belonging, and learning inside and outside the classroom.
