ABOUT EXTRA LIFE
It all started with a little girl in Orange, Texas.
Extra Life is a fundraising program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. The Extra Life community fundraises year-round to Change Kids’ Health to Change the Future. Donations go to member children’s hospitals to fund critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, along with innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, and child life services.
Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised over $100 million USD to Change Kids' Health to Change the Future. Right now, children's hospitals need YOUR support.
Extra Life is a nationwide movement of Gamers who unite to play games and heal kids at 170 Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across the country raising over $14 million in 2021. Extra Life Chicago is a group of over 800 Gamers and Cosplayers who since 2011 have raised nearly $2 million for patients and families at Lurie Children's. Extra Life looks different for everyone- video, table top or PC games may be how you play, or cosplaying your favorite characters might be your way to play. No matter how you game, the mission stays the same—you game for every child.
